DDEE Shimla JBT Batchwise Recruitment 2024 : The office of the Deputy Director, Department of Elementary Education, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, has announced the recruitment of 31 Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) posts on a contractual basis for the dependents of ex-servicemen. The counseling process for these posts is scheduled for December 3rd and 4th, 2024.
- Counseling Date for Candidates from Shimla, Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Lahaul & Spiti, Kullu: December 3rd, 2024
- Counseling Date for Candidates from Solan, Sirmaur, Mandi, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Una: December 4th, 2024
Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria under the JBT Recruitment and Promotion Rules, 2017 and the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) regulations are eligible to participate.

Educational Qualifications: DDEE Shimla JBT Batchwise Recruitment 2024
- Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks from a recognized Board of School Education and 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) Course / Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.) from an institute affiliated to the HP Board of School Education (HPBOSE). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks and 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) / Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.) (by whatever name known). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) / Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.), as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulation, 2002. OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El.Ed.). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Graduation with 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT)/ Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.) (by whatever name known). OR
- Post-Graduation with at least 55% marks and a three-year integrated B.Ed.- M.Ed. degree along with passing the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the authority designated by the HP State Government.
Candidates who have already qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by HP Subordinate Service Selection Commission or HP Board of School Education are also eligible.

Candidates wishing to participate in the counseling process should appear in person at the office of the Deputy Director, Department of Elementary Education, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, on the prescribed dates:
- December 3, 2024: Candidates from Shimla, Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Lahaul & Spiti, Kullu
- December 4, 2024: Candidates from Solan, Sirmaur, Mandi, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Una
Candidates should bring the following documents:
- Passport-size photograph
- Latest Character Certificate
- Himachali Bonafide Certificate
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Live Employment Card
- Educational and Professional Qualification Documents
